Carpentry

Xalydo manufactures all its products in-house in its manufacturing facility at Gurgaon. The wood-work is done by experienced carpenters who have been working on modern furniture for an average of 10 years. They have worked with big companies and big projects and find working with Xalydo deeply challenging and rewarding. Training of the carpenters is done in-house as the way of manufacturing is unique for ready-to-assemble products.

Manufacturing @ Xalydo is a mix of human talent and machining perfection. The use of panel saw helps achieve straight cuts. Machines have been provided for sanding, edge-finishing, and drilling to achieve a superior finish than by hand alone for contemporary furniture.

Branded hardware from reputed brands both from India and abroad are used to give the best use experience to the users. Some examples are Hettich, Ebco, Hafele and Indaux. Training is provided to the carpenters to install the hardware. Soft-close channels and hinges give comfort and aesthetic beauty to the finished product.

UPHOLSTERY

Xalydo takes pride in providing a good upholstery finish than what is readily available in the market. Branded industrial-level sewing machines are used to allow working on a range of materials such as velvet, suede, leatherette, etc. The upholsterers have worked with big brands and have more than 10 years of experience in all types of furnishing work. They have prowess in upholstery, paneling, tufting and hand-sewing. Training of the upholsterers is done in-house to allow more agility in the work and teaching methods that are unique to make Xalydo products.

Branded foams are used for longevity and quality. Superior comfort is achieved using the composite of superior density foams and micro-fiber, which is developed according to the design and size of each product. Even the thread used is automotive-quality for its color quality, toughness and longevity.

FINISH

High quality material is used for the structure and finishing of the product. In case of laminates, 1mm thickness is applied on the exposed surfaces to give a quality finish which resists breakage and color- rubbing, which are common complaints in laminates. All product surfaces are laminated, so that no naked surface shows, even the bottom of the furniture, to resist environmental elements such as water and termites.

In veneers, high quality and thick veneer is used for longevity and aesthetic solid wood surface with deep grains. Only branded Italian Poly-urethane (PU) or Poly-ester polishes are used to finish the wooden surface, be it on solid wood or veneers.

Edges are machined and finished before packaging.

Xalydo ensures that the products are long-lasting and hassle-free. Use of above surface finishes gives good scratch-resistance, protection from hot or cold liquid spills, easy cleaning and maintenance.

PACKAGING & QUALITY CHECKS

Xalydo products go through quality checks at each of the above stages to ensure that the product delivered to the customer meets the high internal standards. The product finish is checked for defects. The hardware is checked during manufacturing and after installation.

Multi-layer packaging is applied to the product before transport. A layer of bubble wrap preserves the finish of the surface. The corners are covered to protect from damage during transport. Sensitive surfaces such as glass are covered with foam to avoid breakage during transit.
