CARE INSTRUCTIONS

ALL FINISHES

  • Dust several times a week in order to maintain a clean surface and protect the finish.
  • Protect all wooden furniture from direct sunlight. Exposure to the sun’s rays can dry out the wood and bleach out the colour.

NATURAL WOOD

  • Moisture and heat can damage any wood finish. Protect your furniture by using coasters and trivets. Always wipe up moisture promptly and dry with a soft cloth.
  • Avoid dragging sharp or rough objects across the surface of your wood furniture. Use adhesive felt pads, trivets, coasters, and placemats to help prevent scratches.

LAMINATE

  • Carefully remove stubborn stains (like paint, oil, tar, or markers) with acetone-based fingernail polish remover.
  • Applying cleaner directly to the surface of the laminate can cause staining—lightly spray it on a cleaning cloth or damp mop instead.
  • Any spills should be dealt with using a damp cloth and the residue wiped up with a dry cloth immediately.

LACQUERED GLASS

  • Water contact should be avoided on the under surface
  • Spills should be cleaned immediately with a soft cloth
  • Chipping or breakage can occur on impact

LEATHERETTE

  • In case of stains, use a damp cotton or wool cloth to remove stains and a dry cloth to wipe.
  • Use a soap-soaked cotton swab to clean hard to reach areas like around buttons and seams and wipe with a dry cloth. Avoid cleaning with water directly along a seam.

VELVET

  • Vacuum any accumulated dust or dirt with a special upholstery attachment for velvet.
  • In case of a stain, take a clean, super-absorbent cloth or paper towel and soak up the excess liquid.
    Don’t dab or rub the spill and let the fabric air-dry.

SUEDE

  • Rub the surface of the garment with a clean bath towel.
  • Try to remove small dry stains use a clean pencil eraser. Small wet should be blotted up by putting a paper towel on it. For either kind of stain, avoid using a chemical stain remover.
  • Use a dust buster or vacuum to collect the debris that could not be removed by hand.

LINEN

  • Clean your linen upholstery on a regular basis and have it looking great!
  • If there are only few stains and you want to clean your linen fabric yourself, you can remove blotches from your upholstery by washing the affected area with lukewarm water.
    Just dab the affected area gently with a wet cloth.
  • To remove face powder or lipstick stains, dab them with ether or alcohol and then wash them off with lukewarm water.
  • If a thorough washing for your linen upholstery is needed, wash it by hand or use your washing machine.
  • It keeps dust particles out of the fabric, making it appear brighter.
  • Soak up the stain with a white cloth by blotting {don’t rub}.
  • Spot clean with {distilled} water and a white cloth.
  • Use a mild soap, water and a white cloth. 
  • Dry clean or machine wash on cold and hang to dry. Note that you should do all pieces in the set so that the colour is consistent.
